About the event
Marc André adds to the original pieces for double bass all possible transcriptions.
For example, the cycle of Fantasiestücke op. 73 by Schumann is performed by violinists, cellists, and clarinetists, and is taken up here by the young double bassist.
Dvořák, Tchaikovsky, and Debussy are also included in the program, along with a few pieces of music composed for cinema.
Marc André forms a collaborative duo with David Bismuth, but the latter also plays a few pieces for solo piano, including the famous Rêverie by Schumann, which will respond at the end of the program to the Élégie by Vladimir Soltan.
